A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, Harry M. Burbank, Jr., PhD, 79, of Belleville, passed away Sunday October 6, 2019.
Before his retirement, Mr. Burbank was the Chairman of the Electrical Engineering Department of Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck. He had received his Doctorate in Engineering Technology from the Newark College of Engineering. He was also a truck driver most of his life. He was a Deacon for the Fewsmith Presbyterian Church in Belleville. He volunteered as a Leader for the Boy Scouts of America, and coach Youth Basketball and Softball for St. Peter's Church in Belleville.
Mr. Burbank is survived by his children, Harry Michael, Kevin Francis, and Meghan Jean, his nieces, whom he loved as his daughters, Jennifer Hrabik, Kerry Saddler, and Emily Wood, grandchildren Capen Leigh, Cheyenne Rhiannon, Quinlan Aralt, Owen Michael, and Makai Zykee, brothers in law Mark and Michael Dacey, sisters in law Mary Dacey and Irene Burbank, and his loyal companion Pretty Girl.. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret Winifred (nee Dacey), his parents Harry Burbank Sr., and Jean (nee Graver), brother Fred Burbank and sister Jacqueline Burbank.
Memorial Visitation is Wednesday 4-8pm with a Prayer Service at 6:30pm. Memorial Service is 10am Thursday at the Fewsmith Presbyterian Church, 444 Union Ave, Belleville, NJ.
