Lorraine K. Rak Matyas, 61, of Bloomfield, passed away at home, Thursday evening, October 22, 2020.
Lorraine graduated Seton Hall University in 1981, and then received her Law Degree from Cornell Law School in 1984, She was a member of Phi Alpha Delta Sorority and a Dame of the Holy Sepulchre. She was a New Jersey Deputy State Attorney General and Counsel for Affirmative Civil Enforcement, State of New Jersey Division of Law.
Lorraine is survived by her husband Mark Matyas, sister Kathleen Kolczynski and her husband John, brother Ronald Charles Rak, niece Julianna Charlene Kolczynski, many loving cousins, relatives, friends, and colleagues. She was predeceased by her parents Charles Walter Rak and Lottie Mary Debiec.
Visitation is Sunday 3-5pm and Monday 10:30-11:30am. The funeral mass will be celebrated 12 noon Monday in the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Newark followed by entombment in Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum, East Hanover.
