Obituary

Louis A. Masi, 52, of Roseland, passed away Sunday April 20, 2014.

Mr. Masi was the Head of Security and Transport for Essex County Vocational. Previously he was an Essex County Corrections Officer for 26 years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department of Verona and the Livingston Elks.

Mr. Masi is survived by his wife Michelle (nee Nagle), son Nicholas, daughters Alicia, Brittanee and her husband John, father Anthony, grandchildren Beckham and Mackenzie, sister Angela Emerich and her husband Herbert, uncle Gerald Ferrone, mother-in-law Janice Rothenberger, brother-in-law Anthony Norelli and his wife Kim, aunt Rosita Ferrone, and other relatives and friends. Louis was a beloved nephew to his many aunts and uncles.

He was predeceased by his mother Mildred (nee Ferrone), and his uncle Anthony Ferrone.


Funeral 8:30 am Thursday from the Megaro Memorial Home 503 Union Ave Belleville (megaromemorialhome.com). Mass 10 am St. Lucy's Church Newark. Interment Glendale Cemetery Bloomfield. Visitation Wednesday 4-8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
